This was our day to make our pilgrimage to Water Street Restaurant. We have been going to this restaurant since we lived in Victoria.
We started the day with a park walk. There was this poor female mallard that quacked and quacked as it paddled alone around the lake.
A turkey vulture circled overhead even though we were moving and didn't smell dead at all.
There were groups of meadowlarks around the park finding something in
the grasses to eat.
This pipeline swallowtail kept perching on the tree just outside our RV door.
On the way back from Corpus Christi, we did spy this group of sandhills feeding off a farmers' freshly sown field.
