Brussels, WI - Wrap Up

rvtramm75

This is it, two days before we leave this great little house on Green Bay. We are in the 60s with a slight north breeze and we are leaving?

A final post on Sturgeon Bay. A definite high point was meeting our friends, Ron and Nancy Kemp for lunch. They introduced us to Door County a few years ago and we are so glad to have our paths cross here. We had a long lunch catching up and walked along the bay. We left knowing we would make our paths cross again.

Ain't we a cute crew?

We enjoyed driving the fields of Door County, the vast expanses of corn, alfalfa, and soybeans. We were lucky to see the sandhill cranes. On one of our last days driving, we finally saw a group of turkeys when I could get a picture.

We have had such a good time on this trip and learned so much. First, we learned we could spend nearly four months in someone else's house and not drag or drive an RV. Second, spending time in a cool climate is much better than spending it in an oven. Third, we had such fun talking to people. I absolutely love to ask questions of people and hear their answers. Most folks are more than happy to talk to a "foreigner." Finally, Leo and I had a good time with each other, exploring new places and enjoying the familiar.

Plans are developing for winter. We're continuing the house stays and hope for a fun time. Talk to you later.
