Another beautiful day for a walk around Estero, near Weslaco.
The eastern screech owl was still in its box. Top right is the Pauraque. We walked by the bird twice and a friendly French-Canadian showed us the bird. They are night hunters and sleep during the day. Their colors camouflage them in the debris under the trees.
Next row is a Tufted Titmouse and a flock of white wing doves feasting on the bird feeder.

And then, there are butterflies, lizards, and me with a very large Christmas cactus.
