'Starting the day at the RV park, we opened the shades to see a Cooper's Hawk in the tree next to the RV. He posed for a few counts and left.
The City of Edinburg has a series of public parks and next to one of the larger ones is the Edinburg Scenic Wetlands, also a World Birding Center.
We saw evidence of damage from the freeze last year on some of the large cactus.
Walking around the wetlands, we saw the usual suspects plus a surprise slithering across the trail.
We gave it a wide birth and chose a different trail than it had chosen.
