On December 4th, we headed back to Blanco State Park for our month there. Like most squirrels at state parks, the ones here are used to humans. This one was eyeing the bird feeder, trying to figure out how to get up the pole.
We enjoy walking the park and seeing what wildlife might appear. The turtle sunning on the dam was very interested in something. The caterpillar morphs into a Salt Marsh Moth.
On a nice Sunday afternoon, what better way to spend the time than grilling shrimp and corn for supper?
With more great weather days, we decorated our site for Christmas and Leo worked on his ham radio antenna. He was using the shepherd's hook, where the bird feeder was hung, as an anchor point. Mrs. Cardinal was not happy with his presence.
